Ok... thanks for the info. I was going to call DW tomorrow to see if they had recommended values but if not then I'll increase latencies by ~1.36 (750/550) and see where things are.
Otherwise does my methodology seem ok or are there any other flaws there?
I have used the MAF scaler in the past and its been really helpful. Looking forward to also taking advantage of the injector tool. Thanks again Kaskade...

Perhaps start with half (say 20%) and work upwards if/as neccesary from there.

ok so i got romraider installed and i got my new injectors in... i can log like normal, but i am not able to get the maf or injector tabs to respond. i turned my car on and let it run for about 10 - 15 minutes to warm up. i made sure to adjust the settings so that my coolant temp, iat, and maf g/s were all within logging range. is there something else i'm missing?
its an 07 sti by the way, and normal logging through the dashboard works fine, including the LC-1 plugin.

AFRs are right around 14.7:1 on my LC-1, I'll have to double check with the factory 02 is reading but its always been close to that. This is at idle so 14.7 makes sense. I'm going out soon and I'm going to do some logging. Initially it was adding about 20% fuel with stock latency values but I bumped the latencies up 20% so we'll see how that affects things and I'll work from there. Hopefully the injector and maf scaler work on my trip out, but I'll play with it a bit. In the meantime if anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks, Bryan

OK I got them both working now so I'm all set... not sure what it was but this time when I sat down with it and made sure I was within all the parameters it worked.
Next question(s)... is there a step by step intro guide on how to use the Injector and MAF tabs for someone who doesnt have a clue? I've used the MAF tab before and assume the Injector tab should be treated the same but can anyone explain so I know for sure? Is it the same style of gentle cruising without sudden throttle changes? Is there a proper order to do Injector and then MAF or vice versa? Also, how are the injector scaler and latency values calculated? Sorry for the potentially noob questions but I'm just trying to learn this from the ground up and I've got a feeling there are others who will be interested in the same answers.
My injector scaler experience from tonight: I have DW 750cc injectors (flowtested to 744cc) and have them set to 740cc and .91 latency at 14v which is about .2 higher than stock. I used the injector scaler tonight just to check it out and it formed a very tight grouping in a linear array, and it calculated that my injector scaling should be at 711cc and latency should be -.19 ms.
I didn't make any changes because I dont want to get ahead of myself, but figured I'd share my info here to open the discussion here. Again, if this shouldnt be about tuning talk then I apologize and we can take it to a new thread, but I'm just trying to understand how and why the new features work.
Thanks, Bryan

I have used the MAF scaler in the past and its been really helpful. Looking forward to also taking advantage of the injector tool. Thanks again Kaskade... I had found that tuning the DW750s you do have to increase the latencies by 35-40% over stock for both the WRX and STI injectors. DOn't bother calling Deatschwerks. They are great but they will tell you to use the stock latencies which is probably correct from an electrical standpoitn but from the actual delivery of fuel, the latencies have changed. I have found that the scalar needs to be slightly smaller than the advertised size also but now that we have thi wonderful tool, it will greatly help. Thanks for the work Kascade! I could have used this MAF scaling last night on an HKS short ram but I did it the old fashioned way instead. When I retune the car for a GM BCS in a few weeks, I'll double check my work.

Yeah, I'm really excited about the addition of the Injector scaler and of course the MAF scaler is very useful, I'm just interested to know how they work and the proper way to use them so I can make sure that I'm doing things correctly. My MAF scaling is also off right now so I'm not sure if the new injector scaling tool is a miracle worker and I can just mindlessly go with the results its giving me or if I'm still up the creek without a paddle.

The injector scaler results shouldn't be taken as gospel and just applied without thinking. The results should be used as a guide to get you closer to the final result faster then you would have before. Injector scaling is also dependent on the fact that your MAF has already been setup correctly (and vice versa). You're shooting a moving target if you try to do both at the same time - it can be done, it's just more difficult and takes longer.
BTW, I'll have a new test release out soon which should provide even more accurate results on both scaling tabs by monitoring change in MAFv over time.

First post updated with new test release (rev037).
This latest test release contains some updates to the MAF and Injector scaler tabs including:
* Control panel scrolling * Change in MAFv over time filtering (dMAFv/dt)
I believe this may be the last (or possibly second last) test release containing new features before a full release (don't ask when!).

Very nice. I will give the injector tab another shot on the way home from work.

How do the maf and injector tabs detect which wideband to use? I ask because the UTEC plugin for wideband labels its value as lambda, not AFR like the other wideband sensors. I tried out your 033 release today before I saw the update, for some reason the utec logger device throws a null pointer because it can't find utec/utec.properties, even though the file obviously exists. Any thoughts? In any case, I'll take a quick look later. Good work BTW

The MAF and Injector tables aren't using wideband input. They are using the stock front sensor. It would be very tough to tune low speed MAF using a post-turbo wideband (too much discrepancy).
