I know you don't *need* it, but it shouldn't hurt either. There would appear to be a problem with the interpretation process being used.

Yes I worked with this viewers also (DIAdem , FARMOS e.g.), but if you got not quick zoom function and a ascii-based log-file, you will not handle this kind of logs

This exactly is the point.

Look a a temperature bahaivor also does not need 100 samples a second

In the meantime you could try http://sourceforge.net/projects/live-graph/
to view high sample rate logs.
