Any way to use rr to log the utec tuner wideband? It uses a db9 plug and hyperterminal to run it. Was wondering if rr has the ability to see it

There's no support that I'm aware of at the moment. To support it we'd need to have a look at the protocol used to communicate with the unit. If you could provide some protocol specs, that would help.

I moved your thread to this forum. You can use this thread to provide whatever you have that will help build support for the protocol needed.

I would LOVE to see the TXS Tuna back in Rom Raider. Would be much easier for those of who had to start slipstreaming log files together :(

The issue may be those running the Tuna with a UTEC vs those without a UTEC.

The UTEC being plugged in means the "default" key path to get to the tuner changes, there's an extra keystroke in hyperterminal.

Should be a pretty simple fix though, someone to contact may be Jeff at Jeffsoftware.com

I've looked just a little bit at how the other wideband interfaces were implemented. It shouldn't take a lot of work but its pretty low on the priority list as there just isn't much interest in it.

I wrote a TXS tuner plug in. its based off the aem plug in with a small modification. I do not know how to checkin using svn. I come from the .net world.

The good part is that it works whether or not the utec is connected to the tuner. it sends a T command to switch to the tuner and starts collecting the afrs.

The support is in the source now so if you have the ability to compile RR from source you'll get this feature. Otherwise I'll have to post up a new release (RC11...) for the you.

There is no utec logging anymore. the plugin i created is purely to log the afr using the txs tuner. If you really want utec logging i maybe able to create a plugin for it. I have alot of the code since i wrote the .net utec logger a few months back.

This is before my time, but I think there was at one point UTEC logging support in RR. I'm not clear on the support or details of the removal. Its history may be buried here in the forum somewhere.

IIRC, kascade removed it because the codes wasn't very good and didnt conform to the standards in RR, it wasn't used much, and there was no one to support the code.
