While cruising on flat roads the car enters open loop and jerks and twitches, TPS is around 3 but jumps up and down to 0 inducing the open loop issues. should the car not be in open loop during cruising and should the tps value jump around so much? Could this be a grounding issue or bad sensor or is it fine

TPS shouldn't jump about no so worth checking your wiring and the sensor to see what's going on.
As for cl vs ol crusing that's entirely up to you in tuning it. Personally i like having closed loop cruise - by logging rpm/tps/load/injector duty etc. on a cruise you can adjust your tables to make sure you can pretty much stay full time closed loop as your ccruising around on the highway/backroads etc.

thanks for a reply. yeah i assumed that was incorrect behaviour, i have a jdm v8 sti that the map is mostly stock only been tunign the maf scaling for now. But my theory is that since the tps jumps back to 0% that the car thisn im coasing and goes into open loop and cuts all fuel. Will try to look into the wiring and double check the engine grounds. Ill try to maybe change up the CL/OL delay maybe to mitigate this issue at the moment its 0.

I figured out the issue in case anybody has similar issues, I started also to get OCV circuit low issues. Traced down the issue to being bad engine ground, took of all the contacs and sandes down the surfaces to give better contact and that sorted all the issues. This issue could also come from a bad battery as well if all the ground are good.
