I bought a modded Baja with no information on what was done to it. It had an Arashi turbo and aftermarket downpipe and was happily pushing 14psi on this for 20k miles or so until the turbo seized.
I swapped it out for a TD04 and am now attempting to retune it. It only does 6psi now, which made me suspect a bad BCS until I saw this rom. A local tuner told me the map was stock, but when I pulled it with FastECU, it doesn't match the stock rom listed on this site's Stock Rom List (viewtopic.php?f=35&t=7591, tomsbaja.hex) at all. In fact it has several tables with pretty strange values in them - Idle Speed C zeroed out, negative values in the Base Timing (eg -3.87 at 3100rpm instead of 36.95), and a suspicious maximum Boost Target of 8.04 (compared to 11.8 stock):

The car also had a strange stumble around 2500rpm from time to time and likes to run super rich on long climbs (AFR suddenly drops below 10). I can't find any references to why it would go super rich like that, as far as I've searched there's no failsafe map that does that or something. Highest min FKC I've seen was -4 with it usually around -2, and I don't notice it pulling timing or knocking when these symptoms occur. I've only noticed knock on it once.
Anyone know what's up with this thing? I'm wondering if it's safe to modify this map or if I should flash to stock and work from there.
