Post subject: A/F in fuel maps = A/F during logging?
PostPosted: Sun Apr 16, 2006 8:36 pm
I noticed that in my fuel map, the A/F should be right at 10:1 at around 6300rpm and at a certain load point. But when I log using Ecuexplorer, the A/F is dead on at 11.14 - 11.25 depending on weather. Is the stock ECU over-riding my fuel maps somehow? There is so much variation in the fuel map A/F when I look at it, but yet when logging it is dead set on ONE A/F value, how is this possible?

11.14 is the lowest the stock o2 sensor will show. If it's pegged at 11.14 then it's most likely in the 9's or 10's. If its 11.14 or higher then it's leaned out a bit.

Ahh, well that makes sense. Guess I can convert Rear 02 voltage for a better reading then.

Not really, rear o2 is only 0-1v and won't tell you much. Front is 0-5v and is fairly accurate for tuning. If you want a good reading pop a wideband in the rear o2 hole. 11.14 is still plenty rich for tuning.
