Hi everyone,
Looking at do a p0420 fix on a 2009 forester 2.5 n/a as a replacement cat is worth more than the car haha
From some reading on this forum and previously working on other brands I am assuming all I will need to do on this vehicle is kill the code and also rear 02 sensor codes, force readiness and then possibly zero out the A/F learning tables to prevent long term fuel trims becoming a problem.
If anyone has done this with romraider on one of these ECUs and can confirm that will work before i break it would be great
Edit: I should add not to upset anyone that removing a cat converter is legal in my country as long as the vehicle is pre 2010

have you read the rom off it or do you know the rom id/ecu case ID that you're working with?

I have not yet, I have a had a look at some of the roms for foresters around that year, and all i can see is to kill the code, force rediness and a/f learning is set to -/+30 so i was going to zero that table
