Hey all,

Hoping to get some insight from the community. I have attached my base tune that I developed and an idle datalog below for review.

The car - 06 FXT, originally an auto now a manual. Running the original ecu. No known mechanical or electrical issues.

The parts - I swapped in an 06 WRX engine/trans/diff. Engine has a bunch of mods listed below.

Blouch 18G XT-R
ID1050X injectors
DW200 fuel pump
Process West TMIC w/ new perrin hoses connecting to stock intake manifold
Stock airbox and maf housing
Perrin turbo inlet pipe and some cobb piping connecting that to the stock maf housing.
Invidia catless downpipe/3" exhaust with muffler out the back
Cobb 3 port boost controller
Defi boost/oil pressure gauges
AEM wideband (not logging currently)

I need some insight on injector scaling (currently have ID's data plugged into my bin)

Also, maf scaling. Unsure if perrin inlet/cobb piping after maf housing will affect the maf scale.

My AF corrections seem like they are quite drastic. Would like some help figuring that out before I go take it for a light drive.

not looked at the rom yet but if your using the OEM maf scaling for the airbox you have fitted the after MAF tube usually doesn't effect the MAF scaling all that much.

The injectors settings would be far more important to get right, including the minimum pulsewidth and low pulsewidth compensations which should be straight from the ID spreadsheet.

If you log a little drive around you should see how far off the scaling value is when you give it some boost and the ECU switches to open loop, if your pretty close to target then scaling value is good, if your miles off then give the injector scale a little touch. If the injector scale changes then do a little more driving and then take a look at your LTV info. Specifically the fuel trims a/b/c/d as these will give you an idea if your injector latency is in the right ballpark.

Well, I went out on that tune and did a light drive. All in closed loop. I refined the scale and latency a little bit. Rinse and repeat. Numbers are starting to make a little more sense.

I attached the bin/log from my last drive if you care to have a look. My idle when I came back was looking great (imo? I don't really know) in terms of trims/afr.

Looks like I maybe need to rescale the injectors a bit for the trims at the higher rpm driving?

Also, I have been monitoring feedback knock while driving, and have seen a little bit at some rpms/loads. You'll see it in the logs if you were to look.

I have been pulling timing from those areas just to be safe.. is that the smart thing to do?

logging throttle position or accel pedal position will definitely help here - otherwise its guesswork when your holding steady or doing a pull.

looking at the fuel trims vs MAF scaling I'd say your injector scale needs to be increased a little. You need to log your wideband as well so you can make adjustments to the open loop portions of things as well. Without a wideband it's just guesswork and you'll end up melting your engine.

if you're looking for knock then log the fine learned and feedback knock trims, if your seeing knock on a pull generally I'd start off pulling maybe 4 degrees off the entire base table so you can play about until the fuelling is on target. Once fuel and boost are sorted then you can circle back to the timing and see if there is any power gain to be had there.
