Wondering if anybody knows all the maps taken into account when figuring out fueling based on a/f targets in open loop.

I figure at the very least:
MAF scaling
Low/high det fuel map
Injector scaling
Long term fuel trims

..what else?

And parameters being MAF voltage, RPM, throttle position... and what more?

Just trying to get a more holistic understanding. :)

I'm not sure anyone fully understands the Ol/CL operation?

I certainly dont know a large amount about it either, but it would be good to learn.

The problem is, alot of it is "UnKnown" or in otherwords, speculation or educated geusses.

Through trial and error many people around here that have found combinations of values that work well.

If your just trying to figure out how it works, I'll let someone else chime in and explaine. If there is something you are trying to accomplish, post it up and we will see if we can help you.

Personally, I'm just trying to gain a better understanding of the ECU and how it thinks.

Speculation is fine; as you point out probably nobody knows EVERYTHING that happens, but if we can figure out how things affect other things for fueling, it helps to build a more complete 'map' of what really is going on in there. :)

Kinda OT, but I would really like to know the equation(s) for the ignition correction calculations, I'm sure there are a series of variables, or data elements which determine the final values, and other variables which integrate in load and timing as well as other potential impacts.

As far as AFR target, I'm pretty sure most of the data is a calculation between the MAP sensor data, throttle voltage, and Tip in enrichment. I just dont know exactly the ecu actually calculates these all together...

I understand what you mean, at this point, we have values that work (No More Delay) and we know which values make the change over happen at diffrent points. From there you really just have to find what works for you.

I'm really suprised, some of the more technical people around haven't chimed yet, but I'm sure they will.

I think the ST user manual is helpful for understanding a portion of these things:
