I've never seen any discussion in this area on any forum. Is it plausible moving the MAF sensor close as possible to the air/fuel intake? The readings would be more accurate. I see how TMIC taking up room could cause problems.

You should be able to relocate the MAF anywhere you'd like.
Due to differences in temperature/piping diameter, etc, you would need to recalibrate the MAF after relocation, but that shouldn't be a problem.
We were able to calibrate a blow through MAF with RomRaider just fine, FWIW.

I'm not interested in relocating mine anytime soon. I was just curious. I relocated the MAF on my Benz and it made a significant difference, helped out my fuel trims too. I was having problems running rich before the relocation.
