I'm convinced I can hear pinking nearing the red line under full load. However, my logs show no knock correction issues as far as I can gather. Unfortunately, my EGT probe is broken so I can't measure this. My wideband shows I'm running about 10.3 afr at the redline.

Is there any other engine parameter I can measure to highlight detonation?

Thanks

Alistair

But did it happen once or is it constant?

watch the IAM(ignition advance multiplier), if it drops you're knocking....

you're better off listening for it with det cans than trying to spot it in logs. It may not appear there, the ecu may not even attempt to pull timing if it occurs outside of the rpm range used for knock detection.

i was actually wanting to log just the rpm and knock signal (nothing else) to see if it can record faster.. has anyone tried this before?

You still have 150 ms base... so it's still not fast enough!

That's exactly what I've done to my map. Seems to be working great. :D

10.3 may be causing a RICH misfire. Lean that out to about 10.7 and pull timing back 3 degrees.

I changed the values for Fine Ignition learned (rows & columns). My rows (rpms) are the same but the columns (engine load) read 1.00 3.28 4.28 4.48 4.68 4.88 etc.
