so i have been with a e-tune through a company,no names.everything was good at the start then the maps were having problems.into boost it would be 14.8 at low to boost up to 16psi.i emailed back saying theres a huge problem about what was going on.anyway,he sends another map never asking how is the car feels running so on.well it does the same s***.i have been a tech for 25 years bmw for 13 years and im not just some joe blow that does not know anything.so i did a boost leak, smoked the car and also fuel pressure test.everything was perfect and the Communication sucks bad.i paid allmost $300.00 for this e-pro tune and it has been a interesting venture.so at lunch talking to my boss and he said do you have the tune in the car before the protune.i was going to try this anyway at lunch time.so i go out, reset the ecu and flash the old tune back in.drove the car about 15 miles and it was perfect,no very lean condition into like it had.after work i drove home about 10 miles and it was a joy to drive.BLUEGOD helped me some with that map, thanks man.i have emailed the tuner with no reply about my situation.pisses me off,but thanks to everyone on here at romraider for having this awesome place for people that want to tune the car themselves!

Sounds quite bad, I don't see why people generally don't name and shame when they get a bad service.

I do agree though that the base maps found here are very useful for someone wanting to DIY.

I also found this helpful:
