Map requirements: - catless UP/DP - stock BCS - 93 octane
Same as my other maps, use at your own risk.
Maps modified: -Base/Advance timing table -WGD%/Boost targets -OL AFRs -Feedback/Fine Learning RPM & Load tables
edit: a 2002 USDM WRX Map will work on a 2003 USDM WRX w/o any issues. Also you need to tighten wastegate arm around 2 turns in order to hit target boost.
rev2 notes: - reduced timing in a few areas - zero per cylinder comp. - rev2 logs added
rev3 notes: - corrected typo on TD Burst
rev3_LC notes: - LC is set @ 5500rpm

edit: rev1 2002 WRX, STG2(catless UP/DP), plus STi TMIC, P&P Manifolds: CobbAP STG2 OTS Map(before) vs. Testes1010 custom STG2 map(custom tune) Yes, he's making 2hp less with my tune. Could chop it up to road dyno/road error, less than 1% error. In the meat of the powerband he's making up to ~36wtq @ 3500rpm, more hp & tq from 2500rpm to ~5500rpm with peak torque coming on ~800rpm sooner. Log is attached as well, for whatever reason the g/sec & Load on this car was especially low, it was on the Cobb map as well. Surprisingly, the Cobb Map put down much better numbers on this car than I had seen on previous cars.

did you put much time in the lower load columns? .22-~1... The reason I ask is it looks pretty different from the rest of the maps I have seen. also the correction range looks to leave the timing between .22 and .59 load looks pretty low...
I am just a touch curious because this looks so different than the other maps I have worked on (In the low load areas.)
I am tweaking it for my car now...

The design of the lower range was for smoothness, they very similar to stock(base + advance= similar to stock) but they've been smoothed out alot making for a much smoother timing curve, one that you actually feel in the car.

Yeah... I figured that out as I was logging and matching the timing curve to the load curve in airboys spread sheet. I have rescaled it all the way out to 3 and I was really surprised how it started to shape up after I went through and worked on a bunch of colums by load (referencing the spread sheet.)
Have you played with extending the per cylinder rpm to redline? I was considering doing this to help simplify the top end of the tune just a bit.
Here is my last untested revision. I will flash it before I leave the house this next time and log it... I think your map is a killer base map.

I think your map is a killer base map. Are you referring to the Per cylinder Timing Comp? On the '02s the values are all zero so I didn't see the necessity for it. Maybe you are referring to something else? Thanks!

so what is the general view on this... should it be extended, removed, or neither?

It should smooth out the upper end of the timing map on 2 of the cylinders or get rid of the timing comp completely. On my '03 WRX I didn't run any.

did you have to pull the curve down when you removed it?

Stock EJ205 w/ TD05H-20G-7cm^2 & TMIC producing 350whp/340wtq on 93 octane & 371whp/355wtq on 50/50 water/meth injection, both at 24psig to redline.

I wish I could run this much timing on our crappy 91 octane fuel. I can only get away with 13-14 degrees advance @ 16.5 psi at boost onset.

I noticed that once I got my maf scaled @ load it really helped with this... My curve isn't exactly arrow strait, but it really is starting to fit the car nicely.
Here is my current revision of this thing... WORK IN PROGRESS - STRICTLY USE @ YOUR OWN RISK! The boost is way different and the timing is rescaled and tweaked a bit @ load. *MAF IS SPECIFIC TO MY CAR*
MODS: TBE, UP PIPE, RESONATOR REMOVAL, RESCALED MAF, GRAINGER ARO 3 PORT BCS W/MBC BOOST CLAMP
MAP CHANGES: MAF SCALED TO MY CAR, BOOST TO 21PSI TAPERING, TIMING RANGE EXTENDED AND RESCALED.
