This is a stage 2 map for a 2008 Spec B. The ONLY mod is a gutted main downpipe. No other mods.

Must have stock intake (WITH silencer in place) and stock injectors.

This tune was done without a WBO2 so the fueling was kept conservative. I highly recommend a WBO2. Even the stock intake has variations. Also, monitor AFR Learning D using learning viewer.

Keep in mind that this tune will lower boost at temperatures below 32F.

Hi Micky D,

Thanks so much for putting this up, I'll give it a try once I get my VAG COM cable. Do I need a WBO2 sensor or any other gear to help with the tuning/logging?

Will an AVO/KN drop in filter significantly mess up the AFR?

From what I have seen, panel filters do affect the MAF scaling. I think enthusiast (that's his signature) put in a Purolator air filter and it changed his MAF scaling. This was confirmed with a WBO2.

The fuel is reasonably conservative so you have some margin, but I would really get a WBO2 and fine tune the fueling. You'll make more power that way. Don't forget that you can always sell your WBO2 after you are done so it's really not as expensive as you might think.

From your signature, it implies that you are from CA. You will need to be careful datalogging this tune. You may get knock in some areas.

If you are going to have it permanently installed, I recommend an LC-1 because it is cheap and supported by Romraider. However, there have been some quality control issues so you'll have to make sure it works right away in case you need to RMA it.

If you have more than one car or if you have friends who are going to tune their car, you can get an LM-1 or LM-2. The only bad thing about the LM-2 is that it is not supported by romraider yet so you'll need to use Logworks which samples RPM very slowly.

Post subject:  AVCS in cruise

This tune has 40 degrees of AVCS in the cruise area.

My stock tune has a hole of 0 AVCS in the cruise area, with 15 degrees at lower RPM, 10 degrees at higher RPM, and 10 degrees at higher load (0.9 and up).

Did you do that, or did Subaru change their mind about AVCS in cruise?

If it was you, what was your motivation? Does it affect mileage?

Thanks!

You can just adjust the Stage 1 map.

There's one for a catless Invidia downpipe. I might post that. Catless Invidia DP makes more power than other downpipes so it may not fit perfectly.

Like all base maps, they need to be tweaked.

And here is a group buy ending this week on Invidia DP's! http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71312

Here is a dyno plot from Airboys sheet for this tune. This was done in 3rd gear, but the 4th gear plots are looking about the same.

so if I have a 2008 LGT non Spec B with a gutted DP, Magnaflow cat-back and an AVO panel filter this will not work?

Use an OEM panel filter.

You would need to copy all the tables over too I assume rather than just flashing this rom due to the transmission?

I see that plot was created in the Excel sheet that is floating around. What are the specs you have to enter into the Excel sheet to estimate HP for the 08 Spec B?

EDIT: I think I figured it out. I found the weight data on the Spec B, as well as the gearing and tire diameter. 248 WHP and 261 WTQ based on my 3rd gear log. (Stage 1 map) Seems high for stage 1.
