Didnt see a post with the factory rom. And I dont trust my flash drive OR computer enough, so figured id put it here to be safe.
Soooo...
Since I could not find any maps for the 06, i decided to start working on my own. I kinda figured starting with slackjaws ver 2.01 map found a few posts down. I copied and pasted the boost tables just for a rough start.
My car is currently 100% factory minus the hoodscoop. I do NOT plan on doing much more to it. Just looking for a slightly punchier/earlier boosting tune.
I posted what i have down below. BUT have not flashed it to my car, as i am being cautious about it. I'm not as dumb and young as i used to be. LOL 5 years ago I had an 05' RS that would play with the tune with on a daily basis tweaking every little thing i could watching what it did, but i also had a second car, a wideband, alot of time, and no GF to yell at me when things broke :-\ other than that i have no experience and am looking foward to learning new things.

Ok.. I gave in and went and tried it out. The GF is at work. i got a knock sum of 3 around 2krpm otherwise clear. Kind of happy. however i peaked at 17psi realtive boost at 5700rpm. I think the target was set for 14ish. I'm new to this whole turbo thing, my rs was NA heads hybrid on ej257 block revved to 8500rpm. And I JUST found and read this thread topic1814.html . Its definitely very helpful. edit* Just looked at patricks 07 Stage 1 maps, and think i like them much more.. less changed tables. Probably going to give them a try and a logging.

Just purchased a Tactrix OP 2.0. Will be using this with my 2006 USDM FXT 4EAT. I have a lot to learn as I have never done any tuning of any sort before. I found some generic Subaru tutorials that I will read over before I even think about making any changes. Hopefully your maps can help me out.
Cheers

Patrick Patrick, I am ready to give your maps a try, but I need you to clarify something for me. Did you want all of the tables that have been changed in the ROM to be copied, or just the boost tables? Thanks

You should copy tables related to: - boost - fuel - timing - knock control - avcs that should give you a good start. Post the draft rom for someone to check before you flash.

I have copied all tables from Patrick's stage 1 r12 high boost r3 map in the thread linked below. http://www.romraider.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=7769I have attached both my factory map(exactly the same as the one listed at the beginning of this thread) and the modified map to match Patrick's. Can someone please take a look over these and make sure they look correct before I flash them to my car. My Car: 2006 USDM Forester 2.5 XT 4EAT Completely stock for now. Thanks! Edit ------- Added second revision with WGDC lowered. Will update after logging for a bit.

Looks ok. Log knock and make sure that doesn't occur, then you will have to go about adjusting the wgdc to fit your car. Perhaps you should lower initial wgdc by 10 or 20 before flashing just to be sure that you don't get any overboost. Once you see that is ok you can go back and raise the wgdc until you reach target boost. You'll probably never reach target boost at high rpm, but down low and mid-range is where we need control. Wow! That made a huge difference in how the car performs. I set the Tactrix to log over 2000 RPMs and stop at 2000 RPMs, but it never stopped logging. Also with learning view, do I simply run learning view after a drive? It would connect then not change. I am confused to how to how it works. I ran and grabbed a pizza and did some WOT on the way there. Where am I going wrong with how the Tactrix is taking logs? When do I run learning view? Thanks!

Since the start I've loved Learning View. I take at least one every time I have the computer with me, which often means at least one lv a day. It's simply a quick health check. It doesn't replace logs but is a great tool.

(Donating) I am truly amazed what has been accomplished via an opensource application. I am an IT Professional, and this is definitely the most useful opensource application that I have ever encountered. I have attached my learning view after my drive to work this morning.

Good. Keep this and take another LV in a couple of days and see if the ecu has added timing back or deducted more. You can also be "anal" about it and take a new LV after each drive. If it has added back timing you have nothing to worry about, if it has deducted more timing we have to edit the base timing map.

I have been taking one after I get to my destination each time. I will be driving roughly 300 miles on friday, how will this affect it? It will be interstate driving.(75-80 mph)
