Hello,

I have searched high and low and can't seem to get a 100% answer!

Can you use a tablet with full windows to run romraider and ecuflash?

Worried about handing over my hard earned.

Cheers.

If full Windows then it should, you need Java 32bit to run RomRaider and a USB port to connect your Tactrix Openport 2 cable.

Hey,

Thanks for your response.

I'm currently useing an old laptop and the screen has died!! So I thought maybe a tablet.

I know it doesn't work on windows rt but it should be good on full windows?

yes it will run perfectly without any issue, I suggest that you look for a tablet with 2 USB ports in case you need to connect a wideband O2.

Im running it on my Microcenter Winbook tablet. Single USB port but using a hub with no problems.

This is *exactly* the tablet I was considering! Which model did you get, the 7" or 8" and if the 8" did you get the 1GB or 2GB of ram model? Thats the part that I'm most concerned with. I intend to use the tablet as a car PC type of entertainment/control setup and desktop functionality is vital so I can run programs like RomRaider. My concern is what programs will gag out on 1GB of RAM? I'd honestly prefer to go with the 59$ 7" tablet since I don't need the 8" in the car and the only other real difference is the 8" has 16GB more storage (not that important) and 2GB of RAM instead of 1GB. And its twice the price of the 7" (which is still cheap honestly, but I'm broke!).

Merry Christmas!

Bp

Simply buy both tablets.
2GB is much more applicable for Windows8 itself.

1GB isn't enough for Windows 8. It will frustrate the hell out of you. 1GB is barely enough for my Samsung Galazy Tab.

I'm running romraider on the winbook tw700 (7in screen and 1 gb of ram). It is absolutely sufficient for tuning/logging and with a mount it works great to monitor the romraider gauges. For $60, the value can't be beat.
