I would like to figure out which sensor is giving me false readings. Stock and WB (Innovate LC-2) are both after turbo in downpipe next to each other. Cruise AFR is the same, but when some boost comes in, then wideband shows 25% richer mixture. Same results after calibrating wideband.
I rescaled MAF and added 10% and they both showed richer AFR (wideband excatly 10%, stock sensor more like 6-7%).
That's my 3rd wideband O2 sensor. First two failed previosly, when they were installed futher down in downpipe, where the second O2 usually is. Welded a new bung right where the stock sensor sits at the moment. I would like to trust WB, because stock sensor is years old, but this new wb sensor has shown error 8 few times now, so Im not so sure should I trust it or not. Don't want to buy a new sensor, to find out I bought the wrong one.

It's 2002 EDM WRX running Carberry map.

tests have shown that in the stock location, the OEM Denso sensor is accurate against LSU 4.2 up to about 1.3 g/rev engine load, then pressure in this region passes the allowable limit, and the deviation is pretty big. plateaus about 11:1 without deviating usually.

in the downpipe, right next to the wideband, they are accurate up to 1.6 g/rev ~ 7 PSI on stockish sized turbo, and then deviate from the pressure effecting the sensor, but not as bad or as clear as in the pre-turbo exhaust.

As for innovate stuff, I've been using them for years. You just want to make sure your ground is good, Not to a sensor, not to the ECU, but to chassis ground or battery.

Thanks for good and interesting informatsion!
I have seen steady 11.14 and 11.25 with OEM AFR sensor on multiple cars during WOT over 2 g/rev's. Cats and mufflers definitely affect air flow in the exhaust and build some pressure in it. I have a 3" exhaust all the way, with no cats or mufflers, that could affect the flow, but maybe the bends in downpipe are enough to mess up stock sensor readings.

I rewired lc-2 ground and + to battery and hope it will work fine now. Thank you for that too!

If you are still working on that, this was what I got when I logged my AEM vs OE sensor, oe sensor is original pre-turbo location. On mine they were pretty close but you can see at around 7lbs boost the OE sensor tends to read richer then the WB.

If Im able to read correclty, then in 3rd (or 4th) gear your oem sensor reads flat at minimum possible (11.14/11.25).
Here's my example: WB reads mid 10s, while oem sensor (installed in downpipe after turbo) reads high 11s.

I thought that oem sensor gives false readings at wot, when installed in uppipe, but your log shows it doesn't. Maybe it's not a good idea at all to move oem sensor after turbo.

A couple of us have moved the stock O2 sensor into the downpipe and found that it matched our widebands pretty well, so I assume that one of your sensors is going bad, but I'm not sure how to find out which. (If the problem was evident in cruise you might be able to use the rear O2 to figure it out.)

There's one posted halfway down this page...
topic1398-60.html

I put mine on a wiki page to make it easier to find. Then forgot that I did that, so I found the post above before I found my own wiki page. :)
