Good day i own a 2010 subaru impreza 1.5i with a 4eat transmission JDM model.Sorry for bad english but I want to adjust my car's timing to advance it because its low, it idles at 8 degrees which is low and the car feels sluggish and slower than normal. I can not edit my ecu map because there is no ecu def for my ecu. So found that the Global Timing and Idle adjustment tool seem to be working for me but i can only retard the timing want to advance it. Is there a way to edit the SSMGlobalAdjustManager.java file to change the values from negative to plus values.

SSMGlobalAdjustManager could be modified, but to my knowledge the ECU will not accept positive timing values.

Try Ecuexplorer.

I was able to change the timing yesterday .
Today I moved the timing up and down then received a message that the timing can only be changed in 5 degree steps.
Perhaps I need to reset ecu and try again .

ECUexplorer has option to accelerate or retard the timing .

I am new to this so can offer no more than user experience on my old Legacy 2001 GX using a vagcom cable .
