How would i take a hex byte and format it to show it in binary?

Example 0x30 = 0011 0000
Example 0xFE = 1111 1110

Ive never seen it done i dont think... but i could be wrong. Any help would be wonderful.

I told you above in my statement. I want to grab a 12 byte string and break it into bit pairs...

similar to Excel HEXTOBIN

30 would be 3 and 0 but in hex 0011 0000

If we can do it great! if we cant do hex to bin then thats fine too.

A near future release of RR Editor will allow for bit manipulation. But not as you have formatted them above.

Yup i have an excel sheet that imports the specific piece of HEX and does the work in there. Just thought since i looked at the base32 file and there was a million different ways of displaying and defining data it might be one i missed. to change in HEX bytes i use merps. This is defined for ECU Flash not for romraider

<scaling name="ECUID2" units="units" toexpr="x" frexpr="x" format="%02x" min="0" max="100" inc="1" storagetype="uint8" endian="big"/>

Formatting wise i meant sorry.
