Hi
Been years and now with a new vehicle Legacy GT-b Spec-b 2007 I am relooking at Romraider.

Years ago I used Romraider to access my 2001 Legacy NA with little success beside timing etc .

My question is referring to Base Maps .
I should be able to retrieve my base map from my own vehicle - is this true ?

Reason is I do not know the history of this vehicle and currently the vehicle is performing well and do not want to alter to a third party " base map " that may not be optimized .

How to I go about making my own Base Map - these vehicles had some variants and some support the information that this model 2007 was tuned by STI .

Thanks in advance

Bradley

Yes, you can pull the map (be it OEM or modified) from the car as a starting point. The only time there can be an issue is if it's had a map with propitiatory software and it locked the bootloader.

also once you pull the rom off you can download the stock version of it here
https://www.romraider.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=7591

then ECUFlash compare will tell you if your rom is stock also - next job is start making some logs to understand what's going on (is it knocking, is it lean/rich, is it not hitting target boost or overshooting target boost etc.) then adjust your tune from there.

Good luck and may the logs be ever in your favour!
