It may be an issue with the checksum fix for the 06 wrx, which has additional checksum tables we didn't account for. A fix will be released in the next version of the definitions. You can PM me your rom and I can fix it for you or see if that is the problem.

Actually I'm going to release an update today for the defs to fix this checksum issue for the 06 models affected.

I verified the Checksum must be fixed when Editing C0BB maps and reflashing them back to an AP equipped car. The loaded checksum is "calculated" properly on the marrying process, after that it's no good.

Yeah, but editing any 32bit rom, regardless of whether it's Cobb or not will need the fix to be enabled. Unless you are saying that Cobb "activates" the previously disabled (by Subaru) checksum tables?

Any editing of the rom will toss the checksum out of wack. However with all of the modifcation of the c0bb maps they recalculate it back to a "stock" like appearance. Any further editing (RomRaider) will cause the checksum to be invalid again, thus causing the need for the fix to be applied. In other words, it still uses the checksum algorithims.

To Edit a rom after flashing with an AP you would be reading a new rom anyways, so you would have to apply the checksum fix regardless. So, in flashing it back the checksum would be disabled (when you enable the fix in RomRaider) since Ecuflash will flash any data that changed in comparison to what is currently flashed. This would be the same as downloading a stock rom from a car. If you don't enable the fix after you made tuning changes, then you will have the same issue. I think the checksum fix should be applied automatically whenever you save a rom, though.

I know, just alerting that c0bb doesn't "get rid of it".

Ah, I see.

It would be good to have it done automatically in a future version of RomRaider or at least have a box pop up when saving if they didn't enable the fix.
