cortin - had a look at your ROM and tracked down the encryption words and flashing method, so flashing should be possible once MiikaS does his coding magic in FastECU

san4ezzx - personally I recommend Ghidra over IDA. Ghidra's decompiler makes the reverse engineering process *much* faster. I had a quick look in A8AK212A to get you started. Ssm_Get_Base is at 0x37cb0. The table headers start at 0x546d0 and finish at 0x5597f. The list of CEL codes is at 0x4a348. The scripts (originally in IDA, converted to Ghidra) will require some editing for a 512kB ROM, but that should all be do-able. Doing a ROM definition is definitely time consuming but you'll get there if you stick at it.
