I just use vgi's tool viewtopic.php?f=32&t=10481 to scale maf, it's really easy - just select the right parameters and log away, then feed the log to utility.

For open loop - log a few WOTS in 3rd 2k to redline.
For closed loop - I log my drive to work and back a few times (start logging when the car has warmed up) and adjust per each iteration.

This gets you to +/-3% maf error really fast. Then depending on how ocd you are you can improve further.
The tool also allows to smooth the maf curve-slope which might have some humps here and there after scaling. Use common sense when doing so.

Use romraider's fast poll logger to get more data resolution.

Maybe you could use a modified version of this method:

Sorry to revive an old topic but I am a beginner trying to create a "stage 2" tune for my 04 WRX. The car has a TBE and a Cobb SF intake. So far I have been following Bad Noodle's Tuning Guide and have done CL MAF scaling. Next on his list is tuning boost, but when doing pulls with low max WGDC values (ie: <10%) I am running a bit too lean for my liking. The values in my logs are about .5 to 1 AFR higher than the target values in my Primary OL Fueling Table. It seems to me that maybe this OL MAF scaling should be done before tuning boost? Is that correct? I am scared to turn up the boost with the possibility of leaning out due to a poorly scaled high end of the MAF. Not sure if this is a good place to ask this but can someone give their input on the order of tuning when going from a stock tune to a "stage 2"?

Thanks

Zero wastegate tables, set the POLF table to flat 10.5 in the WOT area and start Tuning MAF from there and then add wastegate and do the adjustment on the MAF, then change the table to your target AFR.

Makes sense, thank you!

Unfortunately I don't have AEM or Innovate WB 02, I have Prosport, Will I still be able to do the MAF scaling?

You may not be able to use RomRaider to log it (you might be able to, I just haven't tried this combination), but assuming you can log the Prosport (and preferably get timestamps in that log), you should be able to match up the data manually and feed it into a third party program like VGI's, linked in a previous post on the current page of this thread.

MY07 FXT, hitting maf limit and running rich beyond

I noticed STI has bigger resolution table, extending beyond 4,69, wondering if there are some wayarounds to achieve this on FXT

Image

my other two options are either lean on target AFR beyond what MAF is scaled it, which is half-ass way of doing it, or rescaling voltage increasing the values, meaning I will loose accuracy in low/mid area values

looking for a more elegant solution, if there is any
