Hey, I struggled to find good posts for the 5 pin TGV deletes to use the plugs to data log with. I've got a 2009 WRX, so this only applies to that and check your own wiring diagrams and all that....

I made this handy color chart for the people like me that can read something and twelve seconds later forget which pin went where.

ECU pin out to make sure I had ground and power right.

Proof if you don't believe me!

Now the challenge was- the iwire services connector plugs (which are nice quality BTW) don't have the same color scheme. So you have to look at which harness wire matches which connector plug wire and then connect that appropriately. In this case I hooked up an oil pressure sensor and a wideband O2 analog output- both 0-5 volt.

In this case- oil pressure- 5v input is red, ground is black and signal is green.

So green connected to the iwire red, black to black and red to iwirie white with red stripe.

Next the wideband

brown was wideband voltage signal which connected to iwire red
black was ground which was also iwire black.

I borrowed the sensor scaling from this post
http://www.romraider.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6430 but named it "Wideband O2"

Quote:
<parameter id="P39" name="Wideband O2" desc="" ecubyteindex="12" ecubit="0">
<address>0x000033</address>
<conversions>
<conversion units="AFR" expr="x/50*1.2505+9.6985" format="0.00" />
</conversions>
</parameter>

I'm still figuring out the scaling for my oil pressure sensor. I borrowed this for a 150 psi oil pressure sensor from this post https://www.romraider.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=15528 and then changed it for a 100 psi sensor I have.

and they used
Quote:
= (x-25)/1.333333
for a 150 psi sensor, which I changed as my sensor was 0.5v for 0 psi and 4.5 volts for 100 psi

So I used
Quote:

<parameter id="P39" name="Oil Pressure" desc="P39" ecubyteindex="12" ecubit="0" target="1">
<address>0x000033</address>
<conversions>
<conversion units="PSI" expr="=(x-25)/2" format="0.00" />
</conversions>
</parameter>
and yet my idle oil pressure is almost 100 psi which isnt correct.

excellent post! the (x-25)/2 should be right if that is indeed the scale of your sensor. have you measured the voltage with romraider at 0psi and 100psi gauge pressure though? It may be that the volt reading to the ECU is slightly different and you'll have to adjust your formula accordingly.

Thanks! I'm going to see what my actual voltage outputs are. Need to get a mechanical gauge to compare it to.

Interestingly the oil pressure now looks to be correct. Maybe the sensor had a little air bubble in it or something strange.

this is what i use for innovative LC2 wideband on driver side TGV
