The method is described within the spreadsheet but I thought an illustrated example might be useful. Using the timing maps from the 03 WRX as an example, let's generate a flattened Advance table. Step 1Transfer tables from RomRaider to the spreadsheet. The results should look like this: Step 2Use the "Add Base and Advance" button to generate the total timing (Timing Total page) Step 3Change the Advance table Step 4Regenerate the Base Timing table using the "Re-Calc (Total-Adv)" button What if you want to extend the Load range beyond 2.14 that is in the current table (and smooth out the tables some)? Step 5Go to Timing Total page and adjust the timing table to smooth out the curves. Step 6Go to Base Timing page and change the load heading values. You can use the Horizontal Average function to fill in the values after picking the last load value. Use "Re-Calc (Total-Adv)" again to generate the new Base Timing table. Note the columns on the right are all the same. Step 7Adjust the Base Timing table to smooth the timing values on the last columns. You'll have to estimate what values to use. Now if you go back to Total Timing page and re-calculate the total timing, you'll see the new maximum load values reflected in the results.

Mark When I click "Add Base and Adv" I get a message "run time error' 2147467259 (80004005)': Method 'Select' of object 'legendKey' failed. Am I doing anything wrong? I'm using excel 2007.

Mark When I click "Add Base and Adv" I get a message "run time error' 2147467259 (80004005)': Method 'Select' of object 'legendKey' failed. Am I doing anything wrong? I'm using excel 2007. when that happens, select the "debug" option and it will take you to the "offending" code. It may look like this: Code: ' ActiveSheet.ChartObjects("Chart 3").Activate ' ActiveChart.HasLegend = True ' ActiveChart.Legend.Select ' For i = 1 To 15 ' ActiveChart.Legend.LegendEntries(i).Select ' method fails if range values are negative. WTF? ' ActiveChart.Legend.LegendEntries(i).LegendKey.Select ' With Selection.Border ' .Weight = xlThin ' .LineStyle = xlAutomatic ' End With ' With Selection.Interior ' .ColorIndex = 20 + i ' .Pattern = xlSolid ' End With ' Next i
add the apostrophe (single quote) in front of the lines of code as shown above to disable them. Close the Visual Basic editor and re-save the file.

Besides the creator (airboy!), has anybody gotten this to work correctly? praha-sti wrote: Mine crashes too with Office 2003. Same run 6 error oink ... I will try later, uffff. Debug time! I have used this feature of the spreadsheet without issue for quite a while. XP/Win7 w/Excel 2003

Can't post it, it's not 100% my work ... have an email? Of course, I can post the timing table, but sending you the whole map would probably be better. I loaded your timing into the spreadsheet and manipulated it with no issues. I mailed back the spreadsheet which includes your timing values. My install of Excel 2003 is standard so I'm not sure why you are having issues.

I appreciate the help. I will try again to see if I can't get working myself.
