UPDATE Jan 16-2011:

  • Logger definition file now available. Go here to download it.
  • Added Ignition Dwell and Fuel Pump Dutycycle (provided by dschultz.)
  • Removed some unnecessary DTCs (provided by dschultz.)
  • Made some minor corrections.
  • Added RomRaider format definition file (provided by dschultz.)

Attachment:
File comment: 2011 USDM STI Sedan - AE5I910V (version 0.97) definition for ROMRAIDER.

File comment: 2011 USDM STI Sedan - AE5I910V (version 0.97) definition for ECUFlash. Includes 32BITBASE for per-gear ignition timing compensation, fuel pump duty, and ignition dwell table support.
ECUFLASH - AE5I910V - 2011 USDM STI Sedan - v0.97.zip [44.13 KiB]
Downloaded 1804 times

UPDATE Jan 06-2011:

The following logger params have been submitted for inclusion in dschultz's next logger def update:

Turbo Dynamics Integral (4-byte)
Turbo Dynamics Proportional (4-byte)

Boost Error (4-byte)
Target Boost (4-byte)

Feedback Knock Correction (4-byte)
Fine Learning Knock Correction (4-byte)

Ignition Base Timing (4-byte)

Gear (Calculated)

(The following are new parameters)
Timing Compensation - IAT A (4-byte)
Timing Compensation - IAT B (4-byte)
Timing Compensation - Per-Gear (4-byte)

UPDATE Oct 18-2010:

- Added most of the missing tables (feedback/finelearning/rough kc, idle speed targets, etc.) The only remaining tables left to be defined are cranking fueling tables, Radiator Fan Speed A-C and Gear Determination Thresholds A-C. Unless people need them, I'll probably leave them until I have a chance to finalize the ROM.

Updated definition attached to first post.

UPDATE Sept 12-2010:

- Added some more tables (timing compensation tables, CL/OL fueling tables, etc.) There are still a few more tables to define which I will hopefully get to in the next few days. Everything needed to tune a stage 2+ car is available.

- Added my per-gear ignition tables. You must overwrite your 32BITBASE.xml file in your ECUFLASH subaru\Bases directory because the base table and scaling unit defs are defined in there and used by AE5I910V.xml. Just unzip the ZIP file to your ECUFlash\rommetadata directory and everything will go to the correct locations.

- Added DTC flags which were provided by dschultz. You can now disable P0420, etc.

Notes:

- CL Fueling Target Compensation A (Load) and CL Fueling Target Compensation B (Load) are larger than MY08-09 STI. Not sure why but I verified that they are referenced by the same logic as the earlier ROMs, so the tables are correct.

- The 2011 sedan has a higher speed limit cut off at 165mph versus 158mph for the 08/09 hatch. Not sure if the 2011 hatch will have a higher speed limit, though I suspect it won't since Subaru has mentioned the sedan has a better CD.

I'll try and finish off the missing tables over the next couple of days.

Original Post:

First version of ECUFlash definitions for a 2011 USDM STI Sedan. I've only had time to find the more common tables based on the AZ1G201I definition file. I've verified the values and address references against the relevant logic to ensure that the addresses are correct. Unfortunately, I haven't defined the DTC fields yet as the order seems different for some reason (or I'm just tired.) This means you won't be able to disable codes like P420 yet. I also haven't defined the Ignition Comp IAT A/B or per-cylinder tables yet...ran out of steam tonight.

There are still quite a few more tables to define, but this should at least get people started on tuning the 2011 STI.

Remember, this is for the SEDAN and, as always, use at your own discretion.

Note:

If someone wants to PM me with a ROM from a 2011 STI hatch, I'll get some definitions up for that too.

A RomRaider logger definition with extended parameter support is going to take longer.

Just wanted to update this thread to let people know I have been using this def for ECUflash to tune my 2011 STi USDM. I am about 95% done with the stage 2 tune having done everything from rescaling the MAF, boost targets, wgdc, timing, and much much more. The car has responded well to all changes I have made. In the final stages of timing adjustment and leaning out but I have already surpassed the OTS cobb AP v2 stage 2 + AEM intake map.

It would be nice to see this def finished up and added to the romraider defs so others may use it too. I haven't had any experience using romraider for ecu editing (Only for logging) since I have to currently use ECUflash.

A big thanks to fiend for all his time and answering late night emails about my questions (mainly tuning support questions lol)..

Trix

*edited* Found a few silly typos lol.

Thanks for the update. I've got two other defs on the go and an insane work week up ahead so any updates will probably take me about 1-2 weeks.

Glad everything is working out for you. Can't wait to see some more of your YouTube acceleration videos. :)

is there a feedback knock correction logger definition available for RomRaider for the 2011 STI sedan?

I had put one together for another user of this map. I can post it up for you if you need it.

Ive tuned a few '11s (sedan and hatch) with these defs w/o issue. Hopefully they can get ported to romraider as well.

thanks!

Good to know that these work on the hatch too. Makes sense that the logic/tables are the same. Do you happen to know what the CALID is for the hatch? Is it the same as the sedan?

Thanks for the feedback. I still haven't found the time to get all the extended log parameters located, but now that I know people are actively using these defs, I'll put some time in this weekend.

I'll also try and port the defs to RomRaider.

Thanks.

I've submitted the important logger params to dschultz for inclusion in his logger file updates.

Bumping this thread. I just successfully pulled my stock ROM from '11 STI and I am able to see the tables in EcuFlash using the provided definitions.

More info to follow once I explore this ROM further.

Hi, there are some parameters missing in my use of the RR logger, some extended and some standard:

Extended:
Defined for 2013 STI (AE5L500V / 8A12784007) but not for 2011 STI (AE5I910V / 7412597007)
<ecuparam id="E152" name="Map Ratio 1 (Primary)*
<ecuparam id="E157" name="Engine Speed Delta*
<ecuparam id="E165" name="Knock Sum Cylinder 1*
<ecuparam id="E166" name="Knock Sum Cylinder 2*
<ecuparam id="E167" name="Knock Sum Cylinder 3*
<ecuparam id="E168" name="Knock Sum Cylinder 4*

Standard (that I'd like to log):
<parameter id="P144" name="Wheel Speed Front Right
<parameter id="P145" name="Wheel Speed Front Left
<parameter id="P146" name="Wheel Speed Rear Right
<parameter id="P147" name="Wheel Speed Rear Left
<parameter id="P148" name="Steering Angle Sensor
<parameter id="P171" name="Yaw Rate"
<parameter id="P172" name="Lateral G"

Can anyone help me, as I am pretty much a newbie to all this.

Thanks,

Christian

For those parameters you need to log the TCU (DCCD).
