edit: yes, I will post the ROM when I've completed boost related tables and timing, we're almost done on fueling. unknown intake, scaling wasn't perfect, you could see it wasn't clean enough. decided to try SD off the MAF IAT, with doing a fresh third order polynomial for SD/IAT comp, centered around 68F to match the centered temps of the MAF IAT g/s compensation table. Then I redid some of the other IAT compensations to be re-centered around 68F and had my way about scaling the VE table without the use of MAF based airflow readings. just logging MAF volts. to which I then scaled the MAF. Not only can you run decent speed density based off the stock IAT location of the MAF sensor body, but you can do so AND scale an unknown intake from that data. If you can do it well enough, you can do it backwards. or something. I'll release the ROM when we're done. We're nearly done, I'd like to keep adjusting wastegate duty / target boost and timing.

Previous post's images are data taken from about half of the data acquired off the same revision, these images revolve around just the closed loop data (I didn't filter any closed loop data out) of all the logs provided, which just closed loop totals more than 219,000 polls. Average is 74ms.

Wow. So I guess all that work I put in into fast response IAT was for nothing haha. JK, awesome research. This might really benefit loads of people and make the process so much easier. |

getting even cleaner there was -0.7 to -1 degree of FLKC in some areas, so I pulled that. wish I could drive it. When we're all done I'll post the whole ROM and go over the process. I think we're almost done? Broke second gear and it's down for the moment.

4EAT Carberry USDM EJ205 two offset MAF scales blended 50/50 two offset VE tables, blended 50/50 MAF and SD are blended 50/50 always stock recirculation valve MAF IAT g/s is centered at 86F, like the SD/IAT table is centered at 86F edit: while related to the original post, this one has the IAT sensor on the underside of the intercooler, in the end tank before the throttle. noting that with the one setup, there is just one VE table and one MAF scale, and the IAT is in the MAF housing.

I know this is fairly old but I'm intrigued and I didnt see a follow up. Did you ever finish this experiment? |
