Quick rundown on the vehicle. I bought this car from a Subaru specialized mechanic who obtained it from a kid who imported it to Canada in 2015 and did a bunch of mods and got it tuned. It's a Impreza 20K Japan only model came with ej205 looks identical to any 2002 wrx. Kid drove up north with low coolant and oil and blew the motor, couldn't afford to fix and sold it to mechanic. Mechanic rebuilt it using a ej255 shortblock and reused original heads and everything else that was on the car when got it. Sold it to me in this state having not been re tuned. I drove the car for a year like this driving carefully and running wastegate pressure without the ebcs because previous tune was running 17psi.

I have since done work on the car here's the current list of mods including some from the original owner before I started tuning I'll mark*

Borla Touring 3" catless exhaust and up pipe *
Samco silicone inlet to turbo
ebay hot air intake *
sti pink injectors *
aem 340lph fuel pump *
aem wideband with bosch 4.9 o2 sensor
MAC 3 port ebcs
98-02 forester KYB struts with standard height king springs
Group N trans and motor mounts
Group N front and rear top hats
2002 STI intercooler
Rebuilt VF30 with billet oe spec compressor wheel

Currently it's street tuned with Carberry. After countless revs it's feeling probably as dialed as I can get it without paying for a dyno. Not a whole lot of insight out there for tuning hybrid builds with Carberry. Would love to hear others experience, check it out

I run a hybrid on carberry, just gotta watch timing. They take less than you think. I've had maps that I thought were safe just to learn I was 5 degrees over advanced which can take out pistons and shorten bearing life. I'm 100% for self tuning, but, if you have access to a Dyno, see if you can rent it, bring a couple variations of your ROM with different ignition timing settings and compare the torque curves to see what it likes
