Merp wrote: Just checked some of the commits out, looks good Comments/concerns: Seems like drivemode and mapswitch + valet mode are somewhat redundant and could be refactored into a single switch somehow. I'm thinking they should just be consolidated with valet mode as a new map set. This would clean up all the valet mode conditionals in the boosthacks code, but would result in more ROM use (full fuel + timing + boost tables required to use existing BlendAndSwitch functionality.) To immobilize, I would just hit the fuel cut flag rather than mess with idle/reqtq. In fact I would stay as far away from DWB as possible AFAIK this cut is active while starting, so you won't have any partial starts/stalling. Rather than add more conditionals to MapBlendingInputModeUndefined in blendandswitch.c to enable VFF, better to add a new mode: MapBlendingInputModeVFF, etc. This allows driver to select manual mode in the event of problems with VFF. Thanks, and I agree with all of it. That is basically my plan when I finish. A true implementation into your current code. There's a lot of changes you've done since I started and Thanks to github and I fighting I wasn't keeping up. I do have a VFF on off switch already setup but an input switch should be done too. Feel free to pull anything you'd like if I don't get to it fast enough for ya! Only other thought is that valet IMO shouldn't need an entire mapset. It really is only a few things needed. I think this was my original reasoning for doing drive mode separately.

Excellent It just occurred to me, we can use the map switching 'tablegroup' system and just populate the valet mode entries with the map 1 tables. This keeps it simple/elegant and easy on rom space and tuning. It will also simplify programming mode by making valet mode an option on the map selection menu item.

Only other thing needed would be to include the req torq tables in the mapswitch. Then input switch for drivemode style and that's set. Ill get this started and include the fuel cut in my next build. Doing a preliminary check on the implementation an area of question is if SIDrive is chosen as an input mode there's only 3 allowed modes and if you use programming mode to enter valet without something added in there it will cycle right back to the SIDrive mode after. I can probably think of a fix but maybe you have an idea already. Also tgv input would have to be reworked for 4 modes too.

Got it turned into a switch and added a fourth table subset. Valet is map 1 now and only table I have on it that's not populated with mapswitch 2 (was mapswitch 1) for valet mode is its own reqtorq table.
Going to write in another switch for virtual FF and map blending.
Will commit when done.

Apparently the new gas station 2 miles from my house on my way to work sells e85. So that should make testing a breeze.

Just pushed my current build into github.
I should be able to commit often now. I am still working on implementing into current merpmod. Getting closer. Still A TON of work to do.
Added in 1st and 2nd gear timing compensations. Added in framework for AVCS hack. Should be fun. Cleaned up some things. Should be able to log my Fuelup code then continue with Flex Learning.

Pushed a decent chunk of new work to github.
Made a 5th gear specific Closed Loop lean cruise hack. I'm hoping with this and AVCS I can net a few MPG more on the highway and when I finally get to running E85 it should help out significantly.
Created a AntiLag RamTuning hack to fine tune ALS when I finally implement the base shell of it.

This is awesome! I can't wait to try it out on my wagon. Keep it up!

Not being fully competent with github and the way commits and builds work, as well as then making that into a patched rom file - I cant really see how everything is going. Any further updates with these? Very interesting to read about at the least Will be getting an actual ECA kit soon (due to E85 consistency issues from some servo's) but will do some manual E-content tests as I'll hopefully be starting to play with som E70 next week. Hopefully once a map blend/FFswitch build is up it can be ported for me (as I got hopelessly lost trying to delve i to using IDA last time) so I can get a bit more safety behind it

As far as what you need merps build should be up and running soon and be what you need for an actual ECA. I can't really continue with virtual code until I get injectors and a pump and having an infant and all her medical bills I can't justify any money for the car. I've been concentrating on gas mileage tweaks and very slowly chipping away at Antilag. One of these days I should post a new rom for USDM 06 WRXs.

Having just bought a house kids will be on the car in the not too distant future anyway, so I'll be in the same boat. Mileage and antilag are still good things to get work done on, though Thanks for the reply.

Gonna move my discussion to this thread.
For those who didn't see my thread, we were thinking about a launching-anti lag for the 5EAT/4EAT transmission turbo cars.
The idea is to retard timing to a value specified to a rom (eg. -20*) once the car is floored and brake depressed.
