I'm tring to tune boost in my car now. I have a VF30 with 11 blade rotor installed. E85 fuel, ID1000, forged pistons and rods. I tried to use merpmod boosthacks tables, but i'm not sure whats happening... My target boost in log shows 0.31 psi relative in all run... I attached the rom and the log. What I'm missing? Thank you

It looks like your max WGDC in your logs is 0 which wouldn't be helping, but that could be anything at this stage. What's your cal id? What version of Merpmod are you using? |

I put WGDC to zero to test, but in intelligent mode WGDC is 100 and have the same issue... Using A8DK100Z EDM STI. |

And what version of Merpmod are you using? switch? Or even another flavour such as Aijmod or Proffeswrx's port? I can't seem to open your ROM in ecuflash using any of the definitions I have. Also make sure you have the "Boost Hack Enable" table enabled if you are using anything to do with the switch version. Without being able to open it at this stage, another thing to make sure of is that your "Requested Torque (raw ecu value)" X axis is actually the values you would have for throttle position. I've noticed these models still refer to throttle position even though it says requested torque. I've been working on these tables for the last couple of days and it all seems to be working well on A8DH200V If you can attach the definitions you are using I can have a better look for you. |

Thanks for the help. Sorry, I forgot to upload the definitions... I'm using that I download from this topic: https://www.romraider.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=14020&sid=81edd49893262ce93c59ec78c6dfd5fa |

Ok great. I can see that your tables are still referencing Requested Torque (raw ecu value) values Attachment: ReqTq.PNG [ 3.1 KiB | Viewed 2607 times ] change these to your Throttle Plate Opening Angle (%) values, ideally copying them from your OEM target Boost table. Attachment: ThrottleOpen.PNG [ 2.17 KiB | Viewed 2607 times ] Obviously there are more columns in the new tables, either just paste them to the left side of the table, or spread them out and fill in the gaps (For the sake of testing, just paste them in far left). Do this to all your boost compensation switch tables and also your WGDC initial and max tables. Don't worry about it still saying requested torque, just copy the values. Edit: You'll need to adjust your compensation and WGDC values to accommodate the new throttle values! What I'm almost positive is happening is while it says Requested Torque, it actually uses throttle plate position. Your car is seeing the far left column "100" and thinking thats 100% throttle. Which has a 0% compensation against your target boost... which means 0psi target. make sense? Requested Torque I believe is only used by the older ecus before 06. But don't quote me on that. Edit: You're targeting 48psi with very little compensation, I'm just going to go ahead and assume you know what you want 'cause holy dooley. Remember these targets are relative psi... |

Thank you, I'll try this!!! I put like the img attached to test it. Attachment: I probably do this test on the weekend... How do I change the definitions? Can I just change the RequestedTorque(rawecuvalue)1 to ThrottlePlateOpeningAngle(%)? Attachment:

No, you don’t need to worry about changing the definition (from what I’ve tested so far) Simply the values like you have done now. It’s a bit confusing to look at, but see how that goes. If you are still confused I will show you what my tables look like in the morning |

Ok, Thank you!!! I change all these tables headers, is that correct? Attachment: head.JPG [ 53.8 KiB | Viewed 2585 times ] Thanks again |

Yes, that looks correct. See my tables as an example. I'm still trying to finalise a few things, but it's behaving very similar to the factory boost tables and works well. I'm using Aijii's version of Merpmod and have made a few tweaks to the code so I am compensating against absolute targets (displaying relative) but the theory otherwise is about the same. Attachment:

I'll test it... I'm not sure how to tune boost yet, I read some in the foruns, but I'm not confident that I'll tune it right. My goal is to have one tune in car that has good MPG and another one for racing. Thank you |
