Hi all
Currently running into a strange issue, that's just too coincidental with the map blending rations to ignore.
Anyway, been running E85 for about 12 months and just switching back to 98 (PULP - or premium gas for the yanks) due to the price difference and mileage at the moment.
Currently, my blending ratio ends up being about 0.1, due to the ethanol still in the fuel.
This translates to a 1.043 multiplier on my injector scaling table. My injector flow scaling in ECUFlash is 1000cc, so 1.043x gives my ~958cc - or approx a 4.2% increase in fuel.
This is the important part. Now, my Primary Open Loop fuel table is calling for ~11 on Map1, and ~12.1 on Map2. All good here, obviously it's going to be between them based on the blend ratio.
BUT. my Final Fueling Base is
consistently ~4.2%
richer than the corresponding cell on the OL table.
I noticed my wideband was running richer than my target (given a target of 11, and the blend ratio moving that slightly leaner as it's between the two tables) and started to investigate.
Now, I know FFB isn't necessarily going to be exactly the POL target. BUT. for it to be consistently, nearly exactly the amount richer that the injector scaling is telling it to be, just seems really strange to me.
Thought I'd put it out there and see if anyone has experienced similar. Still have about 30L to burn through before another tank to reduce the Ethanol to where I can disable blending, but given the restrictions around the world and leaving the house - that might not be anytime soon, so figured I'd talk about it here.
Cheers all
