I have ported my version of MerpMod switch build to AZ1G202I USDM Sti, just need some testers :)

please be aware that your ecu may become bricked and strange things can happen during driving if something goes very wrong - even if it should not :) - so having a shboot cable and testing carefully would be ideal

for the moment there's no blending, so each map is used independently (6 maps)
one can change map by pressing brake + clutch + cruise up (or down) and CEL flashes the number of the selected map if Map switch input mode and Map blending input mode have the value "SI-Drive"

all other features (SD, LC, FFS, CEL flash ...) should be working but need to be tested

latest ROM here viewtopic.php?f=37&t=14020

I know my EDM STI rom AZ1G202G works on all 2008-2012 ecus (AZ1G201G,Z1G20000,AZ1J500G - tested personally and AZ1G700K - not tested by me) so I'm expecting AZ1G202I to also work on several usdm 2008-2012 ECUs ...

Testing. But I keep running into "the image you are trying to flash contains changes to protected areas! exiting."

How can i fix this. One time I got it to work on a different 202 file. Going to try an edm version now

Can you give me some more details:
- did you tried to write the already patched rom from the zip or have you patched your owm rom ?
- you say you are going to try edm version -> what is your original ECU AZ1G202I or something else ?

I wrote the already patched rom. It pulled up fine with the definitions provided. But when I try to flash it says there are protected areas. exiting. my original ecu was ecu AZ1G201I.

sorry, still not 100% clear
you wrote the patched AZ1G202I rom (can you post the exact version please) and now you try to write some other rom over it and you get the error - is this correct ?

can you post a copy of your original AZ1G201I rom ?
I used the rom from here http://www.romraider.com/forum/viewtopi ... =35&t=7591 for patching, it should have been OEM but I want to compare the first 2000 bytes to your original rom to see if something is modified and could have caused this ...
