OK. Can you tune the rom and upload it?

What I am saying, were there anything specially you have to do to pull the rom unlike for 2001+ models

JECS\Hitachi ecu based on M32R chip does not need any special tool to pool the ROM out.
You may use k-line adapter and ecuExplorer program.
You may edit code\calibrations in any editor provided you have got the definitions.
MY03+ M32R based Hitachi ecu uses 4x32 bit and 2x8 bit checksums.
WA12212940 and current WA122970 chip maybe reflashed in a safe manner.
MY99\00 WA12212920\12212930 are prone to permanently fail during reflash.

Hope this helps.

I opened the 254 and current start recognising some stuff. But I would have to try my ej204 from my MY00. Been never able to get it.

I have openport 2.0 and have lost the 1.3u cable. So i guess I am at a deadend. EcuEdit does not seem to have such query feature.

I would love to review my rom. This year car had AVCS. WOuld love to look for the IAM, etc.

Get VagCom k-line adapter from e-bay, etc.
What ecuID do you have ? Probably I have your ROM uploaded.

Is it 12212920 or 12212940 chip based ?

I do not have this ROM. I have older (128 kB, 12212920 based) and new (384 kB, 12212940 based) ones.

I would have to open the ecu. That's what romraider and ecuedit shows.
