copy FastECU_TCU019 in base folder copy protocols.cfg in config folder copy kernels folder
but seems not working maybe I do something wrong? do I need to "tick" ECU or TCU in top toolbar? You should have more options in unknown. I have 3 different options. Seems like it is still using old config file. Yes, I copy complet folder and it's works I attached log file Ready for next step

I think this may be a shift table. This program says it is a 16 bit CPU.

There should actually be 4 entries under "Unknown". Hitachi KLine, Hitachi CAN, Denso SH7058 and Denso SH7055.
@kiki86 - it passed the security step, but it doesn't look like the download worked over K-Line. Have you tried over CAN?
@curt4576 - not sure, hard to tell just looking at the hex. A graph will help. Shift curves have very distinctive vertical / horizontal lines which generally don't exist in most other tables.

@rimwall : I test all different configuration and each time no message at reception or fail

Is there any template to help make definitions for the TCU Roms?

@curt4576 - no template, we are the trail blazers!!
@kiki86 - that TCU should have CAN comms, but you aren't getting any response at all over CAN. Are you using a tactrix cable? Does it work over CAN with other applications (eg) romraider? K-line comms are working with your cable. You definitely have a Hitachi TCU because it is passing the Hitachi security process. You can try FastECU v0.20 from the repo which has a revised Hitachi K-Line ROM dump process which might work.
@ajayel - if increasing CET increases line pressure, I'm a bit puzzled how folks feel that creates more power? And how would it affect knock? Maybe if the line pressure isn't high enough for the increased torque the Transmission slips, which means the Engine doesn't get the load it thought it would get, so the timing is out and that leads to knock...?? But you'd think folks would notice if the Transmission was constantly slipping, so maybe the knock is only a transitory affect during gear changes...??

Yes I use OpenPort cable, and it's work with RR and Open ECU, I can flash, and log ECU. I used FastECU_TCU019.exe, what do you mean by FastECU v0.20?

Yep, it worked.
The shift table pointers start at 0x17a94. The table data is in Hitachi format.

Great to see some development wrt tuning the TCM directly. Hopefully this could lead to reducing the time it takes from requesting a shift (via paddles or shift buttons) to when the shift is actually executed.

As turbonator mentioned thanks to all for this work. I have an 08 2.5xt 5eat that i dearly love and i was afraid all hope of getting the transmission to hold power and shift was lost with time just to find this thread. I'm pretty tuning dumb so even reading this whole thread i'm not exactly sure what i read but it sounds like you guys are on the way to solutions.
I heard long ago that increasing CET would increase line pressure and there fore improve shifting and i'm pretty sure when i was open source my tuner did this and the car shifted great. Now retuned on cobb its very sluggish. You guys get this knocked out i will have to either do some serious learning or find someone that knows this stuff around me.
Once again, way to go everyone & keep up the good work!

Great to see some folks are interested.
I’ve been slugging my way through the TCU ROM trying to figure out some key routines and tables. Pretty close now. Plus I have decoded a bunch of CAN messages that folks might find useful. I’ll post that up soon.
If you want to tune your TCU, first step is to do a ROM dump using the instructions in this thread. Then doing some logging of RAM addresses will help accelerate the reverse engineering of the ROM.

Read a 2010 EDM LGT, but after reading - ECU and TCU became unresponsive. Could not connect to TCU at all, ECU didn't want to reset. Battery disconnect resolved it. Attachment: ecu error.png
