This is excellent news. I'm about to buy a MY07 GT Liberty/Legacy and will be looking for a cable and some software to reprogram the stock ECU. I'll be adding a 420hp turbo and a bunch of ancillaries to support it, so I will definitely need this ECU modification device. Top work guys!! Keep us posted!

merchgod, which Cal ID is in that 2007 Legacy GT 5AT ROM? If it's A2UG000C, then it's the production version. If it's A2UI001C, then it's been reflashed to fix a problem with the VDC light. The Outback XT 5AT shares the same ROM as the Legacy, so you can widen your search for a volunteer logger to XT owners.
Edit: I see that your ROM is A2UI001C. That means your volunteer logger will probably have to get his ECU reflashed at a Subaru dealership before he can help out.

Its A2UI001C. That's true. All the previous year OBXT ROMs are identical to the LGT except for the ECU id and ROM id. Still waiting to hear from any 07 LGT (or 07 OBXT) owner who can log with RomRaider.

Subscribed for the CANBus and 08 ROM analysis. From what I have read in protuner threads, the 08 has a very similar factory tune to the 07 STI. Bad news for unsuspecting 08 owners, but good news for us since we already figured out how to tune the badness away.
Can't wait to play with the exhaust AVCS since intake AVCS tuning brought great gains!
I'll be right in line to buy the new Tactrix cable also.

Wayne_Coots wrote: Any new news on this? Yes, Colby has successfully pulled the rom from an 08 STi. I added some sample defs and the rom itself here: topic3058.htmlThe new openport 2.0 is estimated to be available in June (more details in the thread above). Once the cable is released and users start uploading their roms and we end up with a good collection of them, I can add support for them to the RomRaider ECU and logger defs.

So with the support of other logging/ flashing protocols- CAN 2.0 (ISO-15765) + ISO-9141 (also supports dual K line) + J1850 PWM + J1850 VPW
I guess that opens the door for dissambly of other manufacturers as well, say GM? I know that Jet has a tuning/ reflshing program for GM vehicles that support even mid-90's models. I think this is also a stock ECU reflash. I had downloaded a demo of it at one time to see if my brother wanted to tune his 02 Extreme.

I just saw a thread in General Discussion about a new version of ECUFlash. That prompted me to check the Tactrix site for an update on the new openport cable. The site had said June 1 for a release date for the longest time, but now it says June 15. No further information about pricing etc either.
Anyone know if there's more information out there aside from what's in this thread? I've been holding off on buying a cable for a while now since I saw this is coming out but it's kinda annoying not to at least have an idea if this is going to be a large jump in price from the old one.

Someone mentioned that Colby posted somewhere that the price would be under $200. I haven't seen the thread, though.

The email I got from sales said it would be under $200.
I guessing $150-$199.99
It'll be worth every penny.

Colby hasn't posted on OpenEcu, Nasioc or EvolutionM this year as far as I can tell (at least not with his normal userids). A list price of $200 would be an order of magnitude cheaper than any other device with similar SAE J2534 (i.e. reprogramming voltages/grounds) capabilities.

I found the post that guy was talking about: http://www.iwsti.com/forums/1872587-post10.htmlUnder $200 also jives with the discussion I've had with him via email.
