Very Well Done in finding these limits!

This is how is set up my table i find it easier for me to visualise.

<data> MIN Range A </data>
<data> Max Range A / Min Range B </data>
<data> Max Range B / Min Range C </data>
<data> Max Range C / Min Range D </data>
<data> Max Range D </data>

Thanks Heaps keep up the good woork!

Yup that is easier to understand. :-)

My take on not making close loop affect open loop is to adjust af learning ranges A 0 to 10, B 10 to 40 , c 40 to 80, D 80 above. Knowing that max learning is 80, D never really learns thus not affecting Open loop. Changing max learning from 80 to 39 (given 40 is the min of D in stock) will make you loose what the ecu can correct between 40 to 80 g/s which is still close loop most of the time.

I added the new tables to my definition file and it looks correct for my rom: 2011 USDM STi

Now I'm thinking about how to use these values. It would seem to me that you would want at least some learning to apply to open loop to account for differences in fuel. I'm running E85 so this is even more of an issue in this case. I might dial my max down some and see if it reduces the D range over compensations that I see sometimes.

I'm not a fan of this format as the min and max do not define table values used to manipulate the AF Learning view ranges.

Hex Editor Search for: 3FCCCCCC 40B33333 41200000 42200000 42A00000

3FCCCCCC is Min Threshold
42A00000 is Max Threshold

This works with all DBW ECU's I have tested :)

Can you post the addresses for A2WC522N? I don't think NSFW has these in his experimental thread :)

For those of you wanting to find these at home...

Open EcuFlash
Click but do not open the AF#1 Learning Range table
Right click and select Edit Map
There will be a 5 digit value
Min Value is 00004 less than that value(so if AF#1 Range table value is 2F4B4 then AF Min is 2F4B0)
Max Value is 00010 more than Min Value(so 2F4C0) which is also 0000C more than AF#1 Range table value.
The last value will always be a 4,8,C or 0(zero)

All of these pushed to the Github Alpha repo here: https://github.com/Merp/SubaruDefs/tree/Alpha

Sanity checks were performed on the tables and a template is provided.

Current roms with this Alpha definition:

is this any different than A/F Learning #1 Limits?? Or is it just useful for picking out A, B, C, D? If I just change my A/F learning limits to 3% that will apply to D as well, correct?

It's different in that it's MAF airflow based as opposed to percentage - it's basically the outer limits of the learning ranges - whereas the AF#1 learning limits is the maximum / Minimum of the actual % that can be applied.
