Close, but a little off. This rom has some interesting features - that is indeed the boost compensation routine - but the compensations are IAT, Atmospheric pressure - and fuel temperature. Fuel temp is used extensively alongside coolant and IAT temp all throughout the rom. Also - unlike the STI rom - the target boost table uses throttle angle, not requested torque, in the axis. Hi Guys
I was just wondering the progress on this ROM, I have a tarmac rally car and have been running the std rom but also have the Grp N Rom, I have never used it as we run without the restrictor. We are preparing the car for the coming season and are planning on getting the car on the dyno very early August, it would be great to run both Ecu's to compare differences. Is there any chance the Definition will be ready later this month?

I tried flashing the rom to a 2008 JDM WRX or what it is called a S-GT. Here is the ecuflash failed message:
"the image you are trying to flash contains changes to protected areas! exiting."

Today I tried writing a sti rom to the ecu. It didnt work and showed that same error. I think I will look for the green connectors and hook them up.

That's a normal error when attempting to flash roms across different models/years.
Both of the bootloaders are different so ECUFlash will not write. Maybe some kind of protection for accidentally flashing the wrong rom and bricking, although cross referencing the VIN would be completely foolproof.
You should be able to bypass this protection with SHBootmode if you really wanted. Definitely compare the PCB layout first.
