Very different, SI Drive being number one :) The BIU wont accept that ROM image either :)

I know the subtle differences, but I don't want to push it to work and lose the ecu. I will email ecuflash. Even the exiga rom would not work while the maps are all the same.

The JDM Impreza S-GT is nice car for short runs in the country. Lol

The rear end of the board has 2 jumper wires and two wires from the 16 position Map_sel switch soldered on. One jumper connects B134 Pin 4 to B135 Pin 17 and the other connects B135 pin 12 to B136 Pin 13. The Map_Sel switch black wire is connected to Grnd at B136 Pin 6 whereas the White wire is connected to B135 Pin 24. This is with reference to the 2009 USDM STi Workshop Manual which has several ecu-pinouts matching the JDM version. B134 Pin 4 connects to the Manifold Air Temperature sensor found in the JDM 2.0L STis whereas B135 Pin 17 does not seem connected on the JDM 2.0L STi but connects to the Fuel Temp Sensor on the USDM 2.5L STi.
Anyone have a complete copy of the 2009 JDM Ecu-pinouts and / or wiring diagram?

From this, looks like EDM and USDM STis could use the cruise control switches for fuel type selection as the wires from the mezzanine board hex switch go to the same input on the ecu once the jumpers are in place as in the pics. See attached pic below for a USDM 2008 STi.
Has any brave soul tried  flashing this rom in a 2008 USDM STi with the key start and tried starting the car? I tried on a pushbutton JDM 2008 STi here, engine cranks ok but no fuel injection hence no start :-( This keyless start equipped car seems to have a different immobilizer sequence through a certification ECU whereas the key start cars' immobilizer sequence is through the Body Control Module and is more likely to start with this rom, theoretically.

From looking at the actual ECU board and the jumper wires soldered therein, the Fuel Temp Sensor Input might be actually reading Air Charge Temp, my thoughts.... and the WGDC and Target Boost tables use Throttle Plate Opening Angle ....

That would make a lot of sense - Air charge temp would be a key input in an SD setup. They've obviously highjacked that SSM routine. Is there any way you can check that - log SSM Fuel Temp, and raise the temperature around the temp sensor?

Got this into a JDM 09 Spec C and after the usual Immo handshaking :-), she fired right up, I did a few logs and sure enough the Fuel Temp routine is actually sampling the ACT From the manifold mounted air temperature sensor. Throttle feels more responsive too and the 2 stage ALS and LC sure do work. :-D

That's a normal error when attempting to flash roms across different models/years.

Is there a way to know what years are compatible? For example is 09-14 same?

I had a 2009 JDM STI using the stock rom AZ1G500F. I could not load this 2009 JDM GpN rom.

Will only work on a key start models and also requires some immobilizer hardware and software tweaks as well.

I'm fairly new to this board, but also very interested in this - this ROM is significant in that with a jumper harness, I feel that it may allow for the '04-'06 USDM STi to have a 32-bit version of the CarBerry ROM. I'd be curious to see what happens if you plugged this into an '07 USDM STi (or '06-'07 USDM WRX), or '06-'07 EDM EJ257 model. Given the wiring similarities, I'd imagine you could get it to start up...

Been doing a lot of wiring research lately - I'm trying to adapt the GRB MoTeC plug-in M800 to an '06 USDM STi. This ROM is right up the same alley - I'm still just getting up to speed on the software/definition file part of open source tuning.
