Everybody says they want to test the prototype but no one wants to spend the time to adequately log it. The current version will work on any usdm 02-03 wrx. Four tuners have used it on customer's cars and said they were going to get to log it thoroughly (wbo2) but I never hear back other than it logs above 300 g/s and everything seems fine. I guess because the customer wants to go home and never comes back. Anyway, I was figuring once someone could adequately test the 02/03 version then I would do an 04 and an 05 usdm wrx and maybe some jdm roms. It is just time consuming and I want to make sure everything is perfect with the prototype before moving on to other roms.

Bill,

I am in the middle of renovating my house right now, but after that is done in about a month or so, I'll be putting the jdm motor and 20g turbo in my car. If you haven't found someone to thoroughly test it by then, I will absolutely do it for you. I have all of the tools to do it, but it will just be a while before the car is back together and running. I'm aiming for the end of September.

allright, cool. Just looking for someone that can commit to testing it, then I might even do a different rom if I know that person is willing to test it thoroughly.

I finally got around to using this rom in my own vehicle and it works perfectly.

I have tested it up to 390g/sec.

Logging with a wbo2? Fueling looks good?

well, I have a STi 04 JDM hitting the MAF limit with a TD06 18G. I am willing to test and report back.

Can the testers please send merchgod your logs.. Once he gets them and verifies that it's safe, more of us can use this functionality. Thanks a lot!!

Just some information- I tried the ROMs mentioned earlier in this thread (S203 and JDM 05 STi) which have the 400 g/sec limit. My v7 wouldn't start with them. I didn't really debug much, I just put the original af481 ROM back and it was fine.

Once the current ecu defintions are done, which is a big update and is taking a while, I'll likely work on finishing test roms for the two non-USDM testers and also do a USDM 04 and 05 WRX version. I haven't messed with it or anything else as I want to get the ecu defs update finished and done.

No rush. You've certainly been doing a lot of work on this and it's much appreciated

I wanted to just post that up so other people didn't try to flash the ROM and not have it work. I think I can deal with 'only' running 20 psi for a while.... ;)

Hi merch,

Just read this whole thread. This looks super useful!
Has there been any further testing or are you planning to do any more roms?

I kind of got sidetracked from this. I think if I were to work on it again, I would also work on upping the load limit. Probably write an app to allow users to patch their own ROM and choose the exact limit for MAF and load they want (and therefore the resolution) and it would patch the ROM and output the ECU/logger defs. But that is probably a ways down the road.

That does sound like the ideal way to do it (similar to what tinywrx has been doing with his LC patches), but I appreciate it's a lot of work. It just seems the most elegant solution to the 300g/s limitation.

It's days like these I wish my math at school had been better and they had allowed me to do the computer science classes (which happened to teach assembler) so I could get stuck into some of this myself .... but to be honest I can't code for toffee :(

If you can think of any way I can help out, just shout, I am happy to give of my time.
