Hi all,
Please forgive me if this is the wrong place to post.

I have developed, and built a little handheld device that can be plugged into the OBD2 port. The idea is just to display valuable data to the driver to ensure the Vehicle is still operating in a safe manner.

I am fairly new to the SSM protocol and not a tuner, but know enough to have developed this little unit. The 2 most critical values I want to display are IAM and Knock Correction. The way the unit works is to ping the hex address of these values and then display it ( as it would for any other value, like RPM, IAT, etc...) However, I am aware that the IAM and KC (maybe some others too) have unique hex adresses based on the ECUID it is programmed on. so, if I can find a way to "request" this value - I would be able to code in the address for the associated IAM and KC. - and then display it.
So, hence my post... can anyone help me to understand how I could "ping" the ECU for its ECUID????

Thanks in advance!

Have a look here: http://www.romraider.com/RomRaider/SsmProtocol
All the ECU ID to parameter cross references can be found in the Extended parameters of the logger.xml definition file.
