Subaru Legacy JDM A/F late start

Hello everyone,

We have bought two Legacy GT with JDM software A2SB000A.
In order to register the vehicle, we ha dto pass the emission test but we couldn't because the A/F regulation (closed loop) starts after aprox. 10 minutes after the engine starts.

Everything is checked starting with the A/F sensor (no. 1), wirring, ECU, relay, etc.

Any ideas or software updates for the issue?

We have tried to reflash the ECU with the original SW but the situation is maintained.

8-10 minutes before AF sensor heater turned on is a common feature for JDM ecu.
Verify what eeprom 93c56/93c86 is installed and what applicable EDM\USDM ROM should be used.

Hi Guys,

The eeprom version is 93c56. This is an JDM exclusively vehicle.

Could you indicate another SW version for this vehicle?
The original is A2SB000A. Is there any other suitable for this vehicle?

Same happens on my 2009 JDM Spec C STi, especially after an ecu reset / reflash or battery disconnect. I have seen it on several JDM 32 bit cars too. So long as no AFR Sensor related CEL is showing, then all is normal.
