It has always bothered me that with the GR STis (and any other Subarus that have the Si drive), I mode mapping switches to S mode mapping if you go WOT for too long. I would really like to have all three modes have separate throttle mapping and boost targets but this switching doesn't allow I mode to be useful for maintaining its own profile. I always wondered if this was in the rom or outside the rom and the ECU was just getting an input telling it the mode needed to switch. Well I happened to be browsing around the site of another Subaru tuning solution out there and saw that there is indeed a way to tune this behavior. Is anyone interested in trying to define this logic? I'll be happy to test it on my 2011 STi w/ RomID AE5I910V Thanks!

Already found the parameters you're referring to in the 'other' tuning solution Will look for them in your rom.

Ok, Ecuflash definition: Code: <scaling name="SI_mode_to_S_Counter" units="Counter" toexpr="x" frexpr="x" format="%.0f" min="0" max="255" inc="1" storagetype="uint16" endian="big"/> <table name="Intelligent_to_Sport_Switch_counter" address="c11c2" type="1D" level="1" scaling="SI_mode_to_S_Counter"/> <table name="Intelligent_to_Sport_Switch_Accelerator_Pedal_Angle" address="c121c" type="1D" level="1" scaling="%"/> I'm relatively certain that these are the parameters - but this is Alpha stuff! I haven't read up on tuning tips for this, but I would think that you can either set the counter significantly higher (given that it's uint16, a maximum of FFFF hex) or potentially set the accelerator pedal angle higher, to a level that it cannot be reached.

Thank you! I'm seeing a counter value of 20 and a throttle percent value of 100.00 - does that sound right? I think I will probably try the method of raising the throttle % value above 100% to see if that disables the logic.

FYI: It is only GR STi Liberty/Legacy do not have an I Drive switch out point I can get them to hold wastegate boost pressure indefinitely in I mode

I noticed that a LGT Spec B I tuned not too long ago didn't seem to be making a switch so I was wondering if that might be the case. I wonder though, do they simply not even have the logic (or these tables) or are they tuned to not switch ie the throttle % is above 100 or the counter is very high. I'd be curious to know.

I believe the logic / parameters are not in any roms other than the GR's.

Reporting back on this. Setting the accel pedal angle over 100% did the trick. I set it to 110% and I didn't mode didn't switch to S mode. Requested Torque and throttle opening stayed at the targets though a long 4th gear WOT pull. I thought maybe it didn't work at first but it was just my turbo boost creeping; cold night here. Thanks again!

This is what I'm looking for! Would you happen to have the addresses for an AZ1J500G, 2011 EDM STI? TIA
