Hi,

I've been researching the JDM auto I/C water spray system and I'm trying to figure out if the ECU I have can control this. I'm running a JDM V7 motor swap in my 02 WRX with a JDM ECU. The ECU is an AF481. I read a post somewhere that only the Spec C JDM AG970 ECU can control the auto spray but haven't found any info to back this up. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I've done a bit of digging in romraider of my current map and found that the thresholds for the autowash system are there

The speed threshold seems relatively high but at least I know it's all there!
Next is to figure out where they are pinned I suppose.

Would I need to fall within all of the thresholds for the system to activate? The speed seems quite high.

From my logs, the speed threshold doe not seem to be a logical AND condition as the spray does come on at much lower speeds when manifold pressure and IAT conditions are met.
Attached find the required wiring setup for the auto mode

Thanks for the diagram ckibue! Is this wiring diagram for the AF481 V7 Ecu, or the V8 AH580/581, or does it matter? Is the pinout the same?

I looked through my JDM STI wiring diagrams I have for the V7 and there doesn't seem to be anything conflicting.

The connections are the same; the diagram was from the MY2005 JDM STi but the pinouts hold true from JDM MY2002 to MY2006 with a few exceptions like the lack of the plenum intake air temperature sensor and associated wiring on the earlier models.

Thanks again! I checked the thresholds on a factory AH970 map and they are all the same.
