What the easiest way to force boost control disable w/o affecting the rest of the ECM? I was thinking that it could be a simple as:

1. Changing the "Boost Control Disable (IAM)" to values >1 (DBW) OR
2. Zero out the WGDC and target boost tables

But for #1 I saw this from merchgod while searching - seems to apply to both non- and DBW ECMs
Quote:
Although there are thresholds to disable boost control (less than an IAM of 6), it requires that you also have fine correction learning of less than ~5 degrees for a period of time in addition to IAM < 6...

#2 is just more work and I'm lazy since I'd have to change 20 ROMs.

Why do I want this? I'm building a design of experiment for tuning and want to run minimal boost as an added safety precaution but not influence other parts of the ECM's operating behavior. Too much timing + too much boost + not enough fuel = new motor.

I zero out the MAX WGDC table.

You can also physically run a line from the compressor nipple to the actuator. If a physical change is acceptable.

I zero out the max and min too. Right now I just have a line running from the turbo the the actuator because I have an upgraded BCS to install still and meth to wire into it with a failsafe and my own "economy" mode switch (which will turn meth off and enable WG boost).

Disabling the BCS or running a line directly from the compressor will drop you down to spring pressure.

If you like, you can also disconnect the wastegate actuator to run even less pressure.
