In the 08 it only shows average L/100 km and the 09 it can show instant.
Is this some setting in the ecu that can be changed? I would really like it if mine could show instant economy numbers.

Best I can tell is, the clock unit would need to be changed out for the 09 model. I believe the programing for that is inside the clock. It is not controlled by the ecu.
