Do somebody knows how to extract the historic of a subaru car like the 32 bits generation? I've seen a technician in a subaru seller who did extract the historic of a car like how many times the rev limiter have been hit in the last "X" hours... Would be very cool to have this possibility.

thanks

This functionally is part of the diagnostic parameters of the Diesel 32bit ECUs..
You can read the times with normal SSM-II / III tools, als well as romraider-logger.

OBD-functionallitiy got a freaze-frame, with some values stored after a DTC was set.
I can imagine to log the same values here..

Afaik Subaru has no true EDR system (common in USDM for crash recording by authorities).

A quick glance at the logic of a rom I have open (A2ZJB11J) doesn't reveal any obvious logging of the specific fuel cut bit used by the rev limiter. However it could still be logged by other means (master fuel cut switch + throttle log) if such history exists.

In witch shape these infos are promoted ?

Does they look like the freeze-frame shown on the Subaru Diesel Crew Side?

Is this case, the functionallity can be part of the OBD-II functionallity.

An other case:

the BRZ got a flight-recoder stored in Airbag-Controler..
Maybe STI got this too ?

In this case fuel-cut has to be a info in CAN-bus

In 2009, SOA blog verified there was no traditional EDR/CDR in Subarus. Sad to see one in the BRZ, but it looks like they're just preparing for government regulation :(

But of course it may be stored in OBD/CAN/SSM somewhere.

Post the data sheet, and ask to see the data read out using the scantool. To be admissible in a court it must be read by a third party.

That was not my car it's a guy i know which blows his engine and made the warranty claim...i want to find these info cause i want to be able to see what kind of past each car i buy has so we can take the better. One( we have a bodyshop) i'll try to have another paper by the side of a friend at a subaru dealer so you can see what it looks likes. I think it'll be great for everybody to have these values when someone tune a car for another guy....

Thanks!!
