Did you remove the wire that tells the ECU that the car has an AT?
Most likely the ECU wants to talk to the TCU, did you remove it?

yes, removed the TCU

but when swap the 6mt , there should be nothing to input the TCU

will this be the problem?

I suspected you removed the TCU, but did you remove the wire that tells the ECU the car is no longer an AT?

I don't think you understand what I'm getting at. Other than the TCU there is a signal wire on the ECU to indicate that the car is AT or MT. Check your ECU wiring diagram. I believe you disconnect the wire to indicate MT mode. If that doesn't fix it you may also need to flash a compatible ECU ROM for a MT into it.

thanks for the reply!!

I know about the AT/MT pin to decide the ECU to be AT or MT

but when check the wiring diagram they shows nothing about the pin in this case

and have tried to flash a JDM and USDM 6mt rom to the ECU (w/ SH boot mode)

and still no luck (CEL remain)!!

After the swap mt in my forester XT 2005. i remove TCU unit. Connect speed, neutral and clutch switch and one wire from ECU i connect to the ground (according to diagrams MT ECU). I have written to the control unit firmware from the forester XT with a manual transmission. such a firmware a2wc400d I wrote a2wc412i. everything worked as it should. Additionally be sure to correctly connect to the computer sensors neutral and the clutch switch.

that's great!!

but it seems EDM LGT is lack of MT rom

all MT ROM is in JDM, USDM , and ADM (but can't find the rom AE5F301D)

If you can find an owner of a EDM LGT MT ask to download the ROM and then post it here. That ROM is missing from all know forum sources at the moment.
