I recall that 01-04 JDM ECU pin outs differed than EDM/USDM in fuel pump & AC relay pin outs. Is this a hardware or a software difference? Is a pin out swap needed if I flash an EDM ECU with a JDM rom (& vice versa)?

I'm having an issue an 01 EDM STi that originally had rom id A4RG060Q & was flashed with a JDM rom (A4SD800B) & ran on it for 3 years! The problem now is that when I flash it back with it's original rom id (A4RG060Q) the engine won't start!

Any clues?
