I had already done this but you're probably right about the research. Unfortunately there isn't a ton of information about my specific issue that I could from a simple google search.

If the cap is on, the write pins are bridged, and using a proper cable, it should write.

And he really does mean the write pins. Not a misspell.

Are you using "Save As.." function after editing bin file in RomRaider?

I am. It shows the edit I made if I reopen it, but once I flash the ECU and read the file again it appears nothing changed.

Safe to say you haven't done any research.
This is in a sticky. I suggest you read the rest of the wiki before posting.

Yep.

Read this carefuly...
Quote:
2. Use a small piece of wire to connect Pin 14 to Pin 18 to put the ECU in Write mode.
3. Use a small piece of wire to connect Pin 2 to Pin 17 to bridge the OBD2 port in the car to the ECU.

Having the stock OEM cap inherently bridges Pin 2 to Pin 17. If you wish you install your own jumper to bridge Pin 14 to Pin 18 (WITH THE CAP OFF) you most do two things.

Steps 2 and 3 as stated above...

Same problem here. Programming pin hooked to 12V and the flash will not take. Checked voltage at the ecu. I'm sure I'll cop a smartass reply too.

Ask and you shall receive.

You have a wiring problem if you've done your research on these forums/wiki and it's still not taking.

i didnt understand that the connection 2-17 is only for the car that have 2 diagnostic port (one under the bonnet and one inside the car)...but for enable the writing mode is necessary only to bridge 14-18 (reading/diagnosis no bridged needed)
