Try to search the forum, there were files in the posts included. If you do not find it, look in the stock rom list - look for m3 roms there, they are based on MS41.2 - unfortunately not every rom will work on your driver even if it is ID41, you will certainly find one that will give you an ECU error. Search and you will find. You need to do fullflash and later partial with your maps, but it must be partial from the driver from which it will be fullflash.
I do not know if there will be a person who will send you a cook because due to the fact that MS41.2 migration does not always work well for everyone, sometimes it is difficult to say why. The best test is to carry out the second such controller on the table. Many people have succeeded.

There seems to be minimum idle air target in closed loop with 41.2 which is about 14.5 kg/h. With my b25 idle at 700rpm consumes only about 12kg/h so ecu will drop ignition angle to negative values and open IAVC when in closed loop to increase air flow. Idle quality suffers, though not dramatically.

Has anybody find table to adjust that minimum idle air value?

Obviously ECU do it to keep cat alive, so maybe reason to such a behavior is missing downstream lambdas?

Hi,

After year ago use ms41.0 converse to ms41.2, The problem with P420&P430 will be happened sometime. (disable 3 of them above mention). What should i do to solve this one? Any suggestion?

If you have ms41 ecu without rear o2 sensors, adjust minimum and maximum voltage threshold for cat efficiency.

Hey everyone,
just in case anyone has problems with misfire detection, I was able to start and successfully run the car today with OBD2 rear mounted crankshaft position sensor in OBD1 M52. Turns out the OBD2 CKP sensor from the rear fits the front pickup position with machined shim to offset the height difference between sensors, rotated 90 degrees against stock mounting hole. I can provide the measurements and pictures if anyone wants to. OBD2 rear mounted sensor just bolted with the spacer will NOT work, it doesn't pickup the signal, you have to rotate it. You will also have to extend the wiring harness accordingly.
Compared to old sensor, which in some cases needed few cranks, it seems the car starts more immediately (but unsure if that is due to old ODB1 sensor being old).

EDIT: this should only be needed for euro M52, since they don't have any rear sensor provision in the block.

Hello! Successfully converted my B25 to MS41.2, runs ok, of course needs some tuning. I use inpa to read DTCs and clear adaptations and discovered that there is no USM3 41.2 option in the DME list, latest is MS41.1, it connects, but will it work normally when 41.1 ecu is selected?

I also don't have the MS41.2 option in Inpa, I use MS41.1 and I didn't notice any irregularities. On ECU 861 works fine.

Sorry to add to this post, I'm not sure if this is the right area to ask.. (which prob means it isn't)
I read where updating to MS41.2 from MS41.0 meant the European pre-cat O2 sensors were now effectively reading as the US post-cat o2 sensors at the ECU causing issues. It seems like the M41.0 pre cat vs M41.2 post cat pins are swapped (Euro vs US)

Is this something that can/needs to be corrected within the control bits? Or maybe its resolved some other way.. I couldn't find reference to how this can be fixed, only that the input pins were swapped and this fixed the problem with o2 sensor reporting/heating. I'm not clear if this is related somehow to the 1 / 2 channel o2 feedback, but I don't think so - 1 channel is for single o2 sensor rather than 1= pre only / 2= pre and post, right?

You read wrong. The pinouts are the same. The euro cars generally won't have any wiring going to the rear o2 input of the ecu.

Hi just wanted to report I’ve upgraded my ms41.0 to ms41.2 and it starts and runs :D
Obv needs a bunch of stuff adjusting / tweaking now but I’m happy it worked!
